Neuro Fuel Review

Neuro Fuel is a classic Amazon-focused supplement. Its formula is almost indistinguishable from many other nootropics sold through Amazon and other third-party merchant sites. In fact, it’s formula is almost exactly the same as a growing number of nootropics which all seem to be using the same template to avoid having to invest in research and development.

It has unique branding, a different name, and so on, but the nuts and bolts of many of these supplements are practically identical.

And, as with all things that are commonplace, the Neuro Fuel formula is unremarkable. If you want some ‘bang for your buck’, we strongly advise you to check out some of our top rated stacks. Neuro Fuel seems to have limited potential.

Where To Buy Neuro Fuel

As stated above, Neuro Fuel can be bought from Amazon. However, when possible, we think it’s best to buy directly from a manufacturer.

Full Neuro Fuel Review

Neuro Fuel is a natural nootropic supplement produced by Lean Health.

It seems to be sold primarily through Amazon, where it is clearly getting a lot of exposure. If you search for nootropics on the online marketplace, it wont take long for you to stumble across Neuro Fuel.

Yet when we had a look online, we found that there weren’t many full and detailed Neuro Fuel reviews to go on.

So, we decided to get one published right away.

So what is Neuro Fuel?

Lean Health Neuro Fuel Review

According to the manufacturers, Lean Health, Neuro Fuel promotes focus, mental clarity, help memory function, and aid with concentration.

With the exception of mood, this is pretty much the full range of what natural nootropics deal with. Only the most comprehensive, ambitious stacks attempt to hit more facets of cognitive function.

In all then, Neuro Fuel promises to do a great deal.

The big question is: is Neuro Fuel legit?

Does it work?

Is the formula anything special, or is this just another run-of-the-mill nootropic?

Let’s find out; here’s our full Neuro Fuel review.

Neuro Fuel Formula Review

Let’s take a look at the Neuro Fuel formula and see if it is likely to deliver on any of the claims made by Lean Health.

Here is a shot of the ingredients list, as it appears on the bottle:

Neuro Fuel Formula Review

The similarities between the Neuro Fuel formula and the formulas of other nootropics is striking.

In fact, many supplements have exactly the same formula as Neuro Fuel.

A glaring example is NootroBoost

Here is the NootroBoost formula for point of comparison:

Neuro Fuel Nootroboost formula similarities

As you can see, the two formulas are absolutely identical.

Of course, the two manufacturers might claim that their formulas only look the same; that the composition of their proprietary blends are actually quite different.

We think this is extremely unlikely.

Much more likely is that there is a single white label supplement wholesaler who is providing cookie-cutter formulas to several nootropic supplement companies.

For another good example, take a look at the Neutropix formula. We have pretty much the same ingredients. The only difference is that the Ginkgo Biloba serving size is listed separately in Neuro Fuel.

But when we add that 50mg of Ginkgo Biloba into the Neuro Fuel proprietary blend, we see that we have exactly the same ingredient list and exactly the same blend size.

We’re very sorry to say that we could go on and on with examples of supplements which claim to have ‘specially created’ formulas, but which in reality offer nothing different to one another.

This might be more palatable if the formulas in question were powerful.

Unfortunately, these formulas are also all equally disappointing.

Neuro Fuel Proprietary Blend

As we have essentially reviewed this blend multiple times already, we wont waste a great deal of time talking about the formula in detail.

Instead, we’ll give you a very brief summary that will echo much of what we have said about other supplements that have exactly the same formula (obviously).

We are given the individual serving size for one ingredient: Ginkgo biloba.

Neuro Fuel nootropic ingredients review ginkgo biloba

We don’t think that 50mg of Ginkgo biloba is going to bring about particularly dramatic changes in cognitive function. Generic, standard Ginkgo biloba supplements which you will find in most health food stores nowadays will probably deliver 75mg per serving. Some will deliver as much as 120mg per serving. So 50mg is nothing to get excited about.

The rest of the formula is a very mixed bag. We have some good, scientifically-proven brain boosters, and some ingredients which (as far as we are aware) are yet to have their nootropic properties validated in laboratory settings.

Both Bacopa monnieri and Vinpocetine are fantastic nootropic substances, yet their efficacy is contingent on dosage.

Taking 150mg of a concentrated bacopa monnieri extract will no doubt bring about enhancements in memory function. Taking 10mg of a weak extract will probably do nothing. The same is true with Vinpocetine.

Since we don’t know how much of either of these ingredients is in each serving, we can’t say that we think you will get any benefit from them.

Other ingredients, such as St. John’s Wort, are thought to be amazing for improving cognitive function, but there is little solid evidence to support these claims.

St. John’s Wort is thought to help naturally reduce anxiety, as well as attenuating the severity of some symptoms of depression.

Yet we are yet to see a study, using human participants, which conclusively shows that St. John’s Wort actually does this with any reliability or potency.

If you think you are suffering with depression, do not turn to natural supplements for the solution. You need to get real help from a doctor! Depression is a serious condition and you should not try to self-treat it in the first instance.

The final problem with the proprietary blend itself is the presence of a potential ‘filler’ ingredient; Glutamine

When supplement proprietary blends contain an ingredient that is cheap to buy in large amounts, is largely ineffective, and which can be safely consumed in large amounts, then we are always suspicious of the manufacturer’s motivations for including it.

You see, glutamine has very little use when taken in small amounts.

It needs to be dosed very highly, or else is it completely pointless to supplement with it. You get plenty from your diet (unless your diet is very unusual). Less than 2g per day isn’t going to make any difference to your mental or physical performance.

So why is it so often included in proprietary blends smaller than 1g?

In many cases, we believe it is used to bulk out the blend.

Manufacturers will make their blends mostly glutamine. They can then use minuscule amounts of the more expensive, more potent ingredients while still being able to say that they have them in their product.

The customer believes they are paying for an extensive, balanced supplement, when in fact they are paying for a very expensive glutamine supplement which contains trace amounts of nootropics.

We aren’t saying that this is necessarily what is happening in all cases here, but you need to be aware of the tactics used in the supplement industry today by some disreputable manufacturers.

If all of these supplements are buying a pre-made, off-the-shelf formula and simply applying their own packaging, then it is likely that the wholesaler is severely under-dosing the key ingredients. They have no interest in brand reputation or longevity, so they have every reason to prioritize low costs.

Neuro Fuel Review Conclusion

Lean Health’s Neuro Fuel is currently getting a lot of visibility on Amazon. The vast majority of you who were looking for a detailed Neuro Fuel review no doubt started looking after seeing the product listed on Amazon. To our knowledge, that is the only place it is sold.

When we took a closer look at Neuro Fuel, we realized that it is yet another supplement with exactly the same formula as many other nootropics. It seems that several “manufacturers” are simply buying an off-the-shelf, pre-made, standard issue formula from a wholesaler, and then wrapping the bottle in their own branding.

Neuro Fuel shares its formula with more than one nootropic which has already been reviewed on this site, which is why our Neuro Fuel review isn’t particularly detailed.

The formula itself is a small proprietary blend, containing some good ingredients, some sub-par ingredients, and one potential ‘filler’ ingredient.

To put it simply, if you want a nootropic supplement that represents some value for money, look elsewhere.
