Brain Kindle Review Summary
Brain Kindle is yet another nootropic currently “trending” on Amazon. We’re not sure what determines which products end up “trending”, but interest in this stack in the nootropics world seems to be low. We think that’s with good reason.
We have no detailed information on the Brain Kindle formula. We do not even necessarily know the complete ingredient list. All we have is an Amazon merchant page with a list of ingredients it does contain. It doesn’t say “these are the only ingredients”, and it doesn’t tell us how much of each ingredient is in each serving.
The ingredients themselves aren’t terrible, but the selection could be better. Since we don’t know serving sizes, we can’t begin to comment on likely effectiveness or safety. All-in-all, a disappointing supplement. You can do better than Brain Kindle.
Where To Buy Brain Kindle
We can’t find an official website for Ilk Company, any of their other supplements, or indeed for Brain Kindle. It seems the only place to buy Brain Kindle is through Amazon – never a great sign.
Full Brain Kindle Review
At the time of writing, Brain Kindle is a “trending product” on Amazon. At some point almost every nootropic seems to be listed as a “trending product” on that site. We aren’t pretending to know how this system works, but it certainly doesn’t seem to reflect customer interest in a product, or its quality.
In any case, with a product being pushed as a popular nootropic on one of the biggest sites int he world, we thought ti would be worth while to do a full Brain Kindle review.
So what is it?
Brain Kindle is described as a nootropic offering “clarity, focus and mood support”.
The manufacturers, Ilk Company, claim that it is made using only natural ingredients, and that it can deliver enhanced cognitive function.
More specifically, we are told that Brain Kindle works in two distinct but complimentary ways.
Some ingredients in Brain Kindle supposedly work to enhance memory function, concentration, mental alertness, and clarity.
Others help to reduce stress and anxiety.
When combined, these ingredients should then be able to improve pretty much every aspect of cognitive function.
If it is really able to do all of this, then users should experience an improvement in mental stamina, clarity of thought, short term memory recall, and productivity. After a few weeks of supplementation, they should be able to learn better, work for longer, and produce better results.
The question is then, does Brain Kindle nootropic stack actually work?
Can it deliver on these promises?
Is it an exceptional, hollistic nootropic supplement, or is it another scammy supplemernt designed to make a quick buck at zero expense to the manufacturer?
Let’s find out. Here’s our full Brain Kindle review. If you have any questions, please post them in the comments section at the end of the review.
Brain Kindle Formula
Unfortunately, we don’t have access to a lot of information regarding the Brain Kindle formula.
There’s no official website (as far as we can tell), there’s no images of the label showing the full formula, and there’s no detailed Brain Kindle reviews telling us the exact ingredient list.
All we have to go on is a list of ingredients in Brain Kindle, which is displayed on the Amazon merchant page. Here is a screenshot:
As far as information on the formula goes, this is all we have. Ilk Company haven’t deemed us worthy of complete formula information, even though a full ingredient list is the bare minimum we need to make a rational, intelligent buying decision.
Usually, we review supplements very harshly if they don’t provide a full breakdown of each ingredient’s individual dosage.
That’s because for every supplement, dosage is key.
It’s all very well saying that your supplement contains such and such ingredients, but unless we know how much of those ingredients are in each serving, we know absolutely nothing of worth about the product in question.
Is Lion’s Mane Mushroom a powerful nootropic?
Absolutely. It encourages nerve growth factor release, which in turn supports the maintenance, growth and proliferation of new neurons.
So does that mean 1 microgram of Lion’s Mane Mushroom will help boost our brain power?
Of course not!
When people talk about the benefits of certain substances, it is implicit that they are talking about a certain minimum dosage.
When people say “caffeine boosts mental energy”, they mean “a certain amount of caffeine boosts mental energy”.
When people say “Ginkgo biloba is safe”, they mean “Ginkgo biloba under a certain dosage is safe”.
As we aren’t told how much of each ingredient is in a single serving of Brain Kindle, any talk about benefits that these substances can give you is pretty meaningless. Talking about the likely benefits of using Brain Kindle is sheer speculation.
When it comes to a premium-priced, serious nootropic supplement, this is never a good thing.
-How To Boost Creativity-
What About Brain Kindle’s Ingredients?
Even though we can only speculate about the possible benefits (or lack thereof), we will still talk a little bit about the ingredients in Brain Kindle.
According to the manufacturers, Brain Kindle works in two distinct but complimentary ways. We are told that it enhances cognitive functions on the one hand, while also reducing anxiety and stress on the other hand.
Is this true?
Indeed, of the five ingredients we know to be in Brain Kindle (there could be more for all we know), four are dedicated to enhancing memory, focus and clarity, while the remaining ingredient is thought to be a powerful anxiolytic (stress-buster).
Let’s take a look at those two portions of the formula independently to see if it is even feasible for them to do their stated jobs.
The ingredients dedicated to enhancing focus and memory are Bacopa Monnieri, DMAE, Phosphatidylserine, and Ginkgo Biloba.
Bacopa monnieri is an incredible memory booster.
It has been extensively studied, and the results are difficult to argue with; bacopa monnieri has been shown time and again to improve performance in memory-based tasks after as little as 6-12 weeks of supplementation. We have written about bacopa monnieri extensively in this article.
Ginkgo biloba is a widely-used supplement today, and so it should be.
Some people are skeptical about the efficacy of ginkgo biloba when it comes to enhancing cognition, but several clinical trials have shown that it is effective for improving memory recall, while others have suggested that it may be useful for attenuating the severity of age-related memory loss.
Phosphatidylserine is quite simply a fat-like substance found in large amounts in the human brain.
It is an integral part of your cell membranes. As such, it is needed for basic brain cell maintenance, growth, and proliferation. While we usually get enough through our diet, supplementation is a good way to ensure your brain has everything it needs to keep functioning at 100%.
We are not too enthusiastic about DMAE on this site.
DMAE is a cholinergic. That means it confers choline to the body.
We like choline for the simple fact that it is a precursor to acetylcholine; a very important neurotransmitter. In maximizing acetylcholine availability, we maximize cognitive capacity. Simply supplementing with choline isn’t a viable option, because in its pure form uptake is very low and very little of it actually finds its way to the brain. It is much more efficient to take an analogue of choline.
However, DMAE is far from the best cholinergic, and it seems to be very unreliable.
We have seen user accounts saying that it is amazing, others saying it didn’t work at all, while many others have said that it caused side effects.
There is also some uncertainty about the long-term safety of DMAE use.
The ingredient focusing on stress and anxiety reduction is St. John’s Wort.
There are studies which seem to show that St. John’s Wort helps with anxiety. Indeed, plenty of very authoritative websites recommend St. John’s Wort as a safe, natural, reliable supplement for lowering stress levels. It is sold in almost every health food shop in the West as a mild, natural remedy for mild symptoms of depression and stress.
However, we haven’t seen any data which convinces us that St. John’s Wort helps with anxiety, stress, or mild symptoms of depression as many claim. Until we do, we can’t commit to saying that it works.
Remember, Dose Is Key!
All of the potential benefits discussed above are entirely dependent on dose.
We don’t know the doses for the ingredients in Brain Kindle nootropic stack.
As such, the benefits are just for the sake of outlining what Brain Kindle could do. They do not indicate what you can probably expect from Brain Kindle.
If anything, the fact that Ilk Company are withholding the individual ingredient serving size information tells us that it is unlikely that the doses are appropriate.
If all of the ingredients in Brain Kindle nootropic were dosed properly, the manufacturers would surely be shouting this from the rooftops.
Lots of manufacturers divulge their formulas in full, full ingredient lists with serving sizes, and they make a pile of cash. The only reason to not be forthcoming with your formula is, in our opinion, that your formula is garbage.
-The Best Nootropic Ingredients-
Brain Kindle Review Conclusion
We don’t know individual ingredient doses for Brain Kindle nootropic stack.
We don’t actually even have a full ingredient list.
We can’t find an official webpage; all we have to go on is an Amazon merchant page. We actually can’t even find a website for the manufacturer as a company.
The only information we are given is a list of some of the ingredients in Brain Kindle. Maybe they are all the ingredients, maybe not; we just don’t know.
This one isn’t brain science: if you want a reliable, safe, effective natural brain booster, look elsewhere.
