Review Summary
There is absolutely no need for children to use nootropic supplements. None whatsoever. Children are constantly developing, and their diet should provide them with everything they need to grow big, healthy, functional brains. They shouldn’t need to get anything from supplements. There’s actually nothing that they should really need nootropics for; they don’t need to combat long working hours, they aren’t under immense pressure at work, and they shouldn’t be facing exams so intense that they can’t manage the study load.
We think the word “scam” applies here purely because the makers of Focus Factor Kids know that parents don’t need to buy this stuff. Yet they try to convince concerned, caring parents that this supplement is what’s best for their child. Well, it isn’t. Nootropics are for ADULTS, not children.
Where To Buy Focus Factor Kids
You can buy this stuff directly from the Focus Factor website, but we wouldn’t recommend it!
Full Focus Factor Kids Review
Most of you will probably be at least loosely familiar with Focus Factor. We reviewed this popular nootropic a little while ago, as you will see if you follow the link above. We weren’t impressed with that stack at all. When we saw that the same company had a similar product, but which has been apparently designed for kids, we knew we had to do a full, impartial review.
What is Focus Factor Kids? What is it supposed to do?
Is there such a thing as a nootropic ‘for kids’?
According to the official website, Focus Factor Kids provides “delicious nutrition for young brains”. Apart from that tag line (and ones like it), we aren’t really told much about what this supplement is supposed to do.
The bottle doesn’t tell us anything worth mentioning.
The website tells us that it “helps support healthy brain function”, but that is very vague.
One thing we are told again and again is that this supplement “tastes great”. That’s not something we’re particularly interested in.
In general, we’re skeptical of any supplements claiming to be ‘for kids’.
Children are always growing, developing, and changing. They shouldn’t be under immense strain, physical hardship, or any stress whatsoever. Their diets should provide everything they need to be fit, healthy, and happy.
Supplements marketed specifically at children are often scams. They purposefully prey on concerned parents who mean well but who don’t know any better.
However, we need to go into this review with an open mind.
Does Focus Factor Kids really work?
Are there any side effect risks? Is it safe for your children?
Is there any need for any kids to be using this stuff? Is it worth the money?

Focus Factor Kids Formula – Useful For Kids?
Let’s take a look at the Focus Factor Kids ingredients and see what is so special about this stack:
As we expected, there’s absolutely nothing in this stack that is particularly suited to children’s needs.
It contains some substances which support brain development, yes.
But as we stated above, children should be getting more than they need form their diets to support optimal brain development.
They should not need to get anything from supplements.
This is especially true of things like vitamins, amino acids, and phospholipids (which humans can make themselves anyway).
All in all, we don’t see any reason why anybody should spend good money on this supplement. There is no reason to think that their children will benefit from Focus Factor Kids in any way.
Kids Don’t Need Supplements!
Just so nobody can accuse us of not being clear enough, let’s go through this again.
KIDS DON’T NEED TO TAKE SUPPLEMENTS.
Children should have a diet that is balanced. They should be eating foods that are conducive to health, development, and physical fitness.
They are already in all-out “growth” mode.
If they need a supplement for any reason, then in our opinion, something is wrong with their diet.
The problem should be addressed by changing the diet; perhaps by introducing more leafy greens, more nuts, or more oily fish.
The answer is never to just leave the child’s diet as it is, to try to find the specific substances that they are missing, and to make your kids consume pills and potions each day.
There is nothing in a dietary supplement that a child really needs to be consuming.
Most children could have a better diet and a more active lifestyle – that goes without saying. But that is very different to needing supplements!
Kids DEFINITELY Don’t Need Nootropics!
Children don’t need to be taking supplements in our opinion. They have no excuse for not eating a perfectly balanced diet, and they are already in full-on development mode.
But children definitely have no need to be consuming nootropics!
Nootropic supplements are designed to help busy professionals, serious gamers, athletes, and creatives get the most out of their brain. They enhance cognitive performance in specific ways, helping people get through a flurry of deadlines, an intense period of exams, or a specific contest.
Some nootropics are designed to keep adults on a higher level of cognitive functioning despite having an intense work schedule and exhausting lifestyle. They promote brain health and attenuate cognitive decline.
Others are designed to rapidly increase focus, learning capacity, and mental energy. These are primarily used by busy programmers, gamers and students during times of peak mental strain.
None of these circumstances are relevant to children!
There is no conceivable reason why children should be using natural nootropic supplements!
Ingredients Can Be Sourced From Food
One final issue with Focus Factor Kids is the fact that the ingredients can pretty much all be obtained naturally from the diet.
While some of them make good additions to comprehensive nootropic stacks, they don’t constitute a serious brain supplement by themselves. They need other substances with more ‘punch’ – ingredients we can’t get easily from food – to be really worth paying good money for.
The ingredients in Focus Factor Kids are all easily obtainable from food, or they can be made within the human body. There really isn’t anything in here that needs to be obtained from supplements.
There’s no potent cholinergic.
There’s no obscure herbal extracts you can’t usually find in your local grocery store.
There are no extremely pure concentrates in here.
There are just things like Tyrosine (a common amino acid), CoEnzymeQ10 (which does nothing), and Phosphatidylserine (a potent nootropic but one we can make ourselves).
Phosphatidylserine is a very effective nootropic, but it is only really useful to older people, or people under intense mental strain (business executives, athletes, etc).
There is nothing in here that makes us eager to pay the hefty price tag attached to this product!

Focus Factor Kids Side Effects – Is It Safe For Children?
We’re very wary about writing this section, purely because natural nootropic substances are not normally tested on children.
Pretty much all of the clinical trials conducted on these ingredients have been conducted on adults or older people.
We can’t find any trials looking specifically at children. As such, we can’t properly give you an assessment of the risks involved.
Whenever safety is concerned, uncertainty of any kind is a MAJOR PROBLEM.
We really wouldn’t advise giving your children this supplement.
While things like phosphatidylserine and Inositol are thought to be generally safe for adults, there haven’t been enough proper clinical trials on children to really know how safe they are.
There are some really strange ingredients in here, after all, and there is no reason why your child needs to be consuming them.
So why take the risk?!
We wouldn’t. We don’t think you should either. It’s all risk for no real potential return.
If your child experiences any side effects at all while using Focus Factor Kids, discontinue use immediately and seek urgent medical attention.
Disclaimer
You need to be aware of the following facts while reading our reviews:
- We aren’t doctors, nor do we pretend to be
- This isn’t medical advice
- You must do your own research before making any decisions
All we are doing here is presenting our opinion based on our research and our own experiences. We cannot give you a meaningful appraisal of all potential side effects because we don’t know you, your circumstances, or your medical history.
It is absolutely VITAL that you seek advice from your regular family physician before you give your child any supplements at all, even if they are “all-natural, and even if the manufacturer tells you that it’s safe. Don’t risk your child’s health for something like a brain supplement!
Focus Factor Kids User Reviews
Sometimes it’s helpful to look at what some other people have been saying about a nootropic.
Here is a selection of reviews taken from the Focus Factor website:
Unsurprisingly, all of the reviews on the website are positive.
They aren’t all written in a clear and understandable way, but they’re definitely all positive.
We don’t think you should necessarily put any stock in user reviews. You don’t know what these people’s expectations are, what their baseline is, or how experienced they are with nootropics. You don’t know if they’ve made any other changes that might better explain their positive experiences. You can never rule out the placebo effect either.
But these testimonials are often illustrative of what the manufacturer wants you to think of a stack.
Focus Factor Kids Review Conclusion – Worth The Risks? Worth The Money?
In our opinion, the answer to both of those questions is a resounding “NO!”.
We don’t think there’s any reason why children would benefit from using this supplement.
We don’t think there’s any need for children to use a brain supplement of any kind!
As such, the risks of exposing your kids to the ingredients in Focus Factor Kids – largely untested on young children – are totally unjustifiable.
Don’t waste your money on this stuff. Just feed your kids a healthy, balanced diet and make sure they get plenty of exercise. They don’t need supplements to help them become smart. That’s what reading, sports and homework are for!
