Baskam Gamma-Brain Review – A Weak Nootropic

Baskam Gamma-Brain Review Summary

“Greatness by nature” is the motto of this supplement, but in reality it is more like “mediocrity by design”. The Gamma-Brain formula is uninspiring to put it mildly.

It contains a few good ingredients, but they’ve been dosed too low to be effective. Several of the ingredients in Gamma-Brain do nothing.

Baskam haven’t had a serious shot at making a market-leading nootropic here. They’ve just thrown together a cheap stack and hoped Amazon traffic would guarantee sales. You can obviously do better.

Where To Buy Baskam Gamma-Brain

We think Baskam sell everything through their Amazon store – not normally a good sign.

Full Baskam Gamma-Brain Review

Gamma-Brain is a brand new focus and memory supplement. It is not a well-known nootropic, but since it has exposure on some of the biggest merchant sites in the world, that could easily change.

Baskam currently seem to operate exclusively through an Amazon store. They only have one product at the time of writing: Gamme-Brain.

So what is this nootropic supposed to do?

What is it offering?

Baskam Gamma-Brain Review

Gamma-Brain is described as an “advanced power formula”. We are told that it delivers:

  • Enhanced memory function
  • Greater focus
  • More mental clarity

The motto of the company, “greatness by nature”, is plastered on the side of the bottle.

All of this is pretty standard stuff.

The Baskam Amazon store does describe this product as an “anti-aging” supplement, which is very unusual for a nootropic.

We’re extremely skeptical of the whole “anti-aging” thing. To put it simply, we think it’s purposefully vague and ultimately futile.

But that is just one word put into the page title, nothing too substantial.

Anyway, enough waffling.

Does Baskam Gamma-Brain actually work?

Is it safe? What kind of side effects will it cause?

How does Baskam Gamma-Brain compare to the most effective brain supplements available today?

Find out by reading our full product review below! We examine the Baskam Gamma-Brain formula. We look at the ingredients used in this nootropic, the doses, and the likely side effects that accompany their use. If you have any questions, please let us know in the comments section at the end.

Baskam Gamma-Brain Formula

Let’s check out the Baskam Gamma-Brain formula:

Baskam Gamma-Brain formula analysis

This isn’t a very inspiring formula.

Baskam Gamma-Brain contains the same collection of ingredients found in lots of cheap, generic nootropics on the market today.

Sure, there are some effective brain boosters in here.

But the doses are poor.

In some cases, the ingredients do have known nootropic properties, but they are weak, over-hyped, and prone to causing side effects.

In more than one case, the substance has no known nootropic properties at all. It does nothing!

On the whole, this is a low quality supplement. We’ve seen similar formulas dozens of times before, and we’ve always been unimpressed. Baskam Gamma-Brain is no different.

Let’s go through this in more detail.

What We Like

There isn’t a great deal about Baskam Gamma-Brain that we like.

However, we do have to acknowledge that Baskam Gamma-Brain contains ingredients with proven nootropic properties.

For example, Baskam Gamma-Brain contains a good dose of a Phosphatidylserine Complex.

Phosphatidylserine is a phospholipid found in large quantities in human cell membranes. It is extremely prevalent in brain cell membranes, and it is involved in controlling apoptosis (programmed cell death).

Supplementing with phosphatidylserine is an excellent way to slow the onset of cognitive decline, or to ameleorate some of the symptoms associated with age-related memory loss (although ultimately the loss of cognitive function is inevitable).

The 125mg of PS found in Gamma-Brain is all you really need to help maintain good cognitive function as you get older.

What We Don’t Like

There’s an awful lot that we don’t like about this supplement.

For instance, the main ingredient in Baskam Gamma-Brain is St. John’s Wort.

This herb is often said to be a powerful anxiolytic (an anti-anxiety agent). People all over the world take it in the belief that it will reduce anxiety, help with symptoms of stress, and aid sleep.

In may health food stores, St. John’s Wort is among the biggest sellers.

But unfortunately, in reality it doesn’t seem to work.

We aren’t aware of any robust scientific studies proving that St. John’s Wort has stress or anxiety reducing properties.

None whatsoever.

No clinical trials, no long-term studies, no research papers.

Nothing.

All we have are unsubstantiated claims on health and fitness blogs, manufacturer marketing, and inconsistent user reports.

There are some studies supposedly showing that St. John’s Wort helps with anxiety, but the evidence is pretty flimsy.

For a main ingredient, this is just not good enough.

There is 250mg of St. John’s Wort in each serving of Baskam Gamma-Brain. The next biggest ingredient is Glutamine with 150mg per serving.

St. John’s Wort is by far and away the biggest ingredient in Gamma-Brain, and it is ineffective.

Not great.

St John's Wort Gamma-Brain main ingredient

The fact that Glutamine is the next biggest ingredient is a major problem in itself.

Glutamine is an amino acid. It is extremely prevalent in the human diet – we might even call it ubiquitous.

It isn’t just ubiquitous – it’s prevalent in very large amounts in common foodstuffs.

Consuming small amounts of Glutamine for the purposes of cognitive enhancement is therefore pointless.

Spaghetti contains about 5g of Glutamic Acid per 100g.

With that knowledge, do you think that 150mg of ltuamine is going to do anything at all?

OF COURSE NOT!

Your body isn’t even going to register 150mg of Glutamine.

Cognitive enhancement is certainly not on the cards here.

So the two biggest ingredients in Baskam Gamma-Brain aren’t going to do very much for your cognitive function.

Baskam Gamma-Brain Side Effects

Our main issue with Baskam Gamma-Brain is that it looks pretty weak and ineffective.

Usually, that means side effects are going to be mild if they occur at all.

But not in this case!

Baskam Gamma-Brain has the unusual distinction of being weak on the benefits front but relatively risky on the side effects front – worst of both worlds!

The main offender here is Huperzine A.

For reasons we explain in this article, Huperzine A needs to be cycled regularly. Failing to properly cycle Huperzine A will inevitably lead to side effects, which can include:

  • Headaches
  • Muscle cramps
  • Nausea
  • Confusion
  • Forgetfulness

The ideal cycle length for Huperzine A isn’t really known – it depends on the person, side effect tolerance, and dosage.

However, a rough rule to work with is 3 weeks on, 1 week off.

That should keep side effects to a minimum.

Even if you manage to avoid side effects, cycling diminishes the power of things like Bacopa monnieri and Phosphatidylserine. These ingredients work best when taken continuously for long periods of time. We don’t like stacks that use Huperzine A for that reason!

We notice that Baskam Gamma-Brain also contains DMAE.

This is a cholinergic, but it isn’t a particularly good one.

Not only is it less effective than CDP-Choline, but DMAE is also relatively side effect prone.

Many users report getting nothing out of DMAE, while others report a range of side effects including:

  • Headaches
  • Anxiety
  • Irritability
  • Brain fog

Of course lots of people use DMAE regularly without issue. But it does seem to have a degree of uncertainty and risk not associated with the likes of Alpha-GPC and CDP-Choline.

Baskam Gamma-Brain Review Conclusion – Disappointing!

If you haven’t had time to read our full Gamma-Brain review, then we’ll try to get the main points across here.

Suffices ot say, if you’re looking for a high quality brain booster representing good value for money, Gamma-Brain isn’t it.

This nootropic’s main ingredients lacks any hard scientific proof.

The second biggest ingredient isn’t going to make a damn bit of difference to your cognitive function.

It contains some good ingredients, but the doses are low.

The only real nootropic dosed properly is Phosphatidylserine. But PS is helpful for supporting cognitive function in the long-run. it doesn’t boost focus or memory in the short term.

PS alone certainly doesn’t constitute a potent nootropic stack.

Needless to say, you can do much better.
