Neuro 8 Review Summary

This is just another duplicated stack being sold on Amazon. IAR, the “manufacturer”, has clearly just paid a non-branded supplement manufacturer for the rights to use their formulation. The real manufacturer most probably produces Neuro 8 at the same time they produce all the other supplement with the same formula. Their respective branding (labels, boxes, etc) is then applied at the end.

With Amazon taking care of all order fulfillment, companies like IAR have absolutely nothing to lose. They are more than likely just one man or woman outsourcing everything and taking a small slice off the top. When there’s pretty much 0 risk, this is a very lucrative arrangement.

The only loser is, once again the customer. That’s you.

IAR Neuro 8 is a nootropic supplement recently launched on Amazon. 

It seems to already be doing quite well; we came across it as it was being pushed as a featured product. 

So who is IAR, and what is Neuro 8 supposed to do?

The IAR Nutrition website is actually just a landing page for Neuro 8. It is fairly obvious that Neuro 8 is the only product sold by IAR Nutrition. 

It is also clear that it is only sold on Amazon. There is “buy now” button at the bottom of the Neuro 8 merchant page, and this re-directs to an Amazon merchant page. 

This never looks good. 

There are lots of supplements currently being sold on Amazon which are simply white label supplements, all made by the same manufacturer, with individual branding applied afterwards. The “manufacturers” don’t need to invest in their products; they just need to provide cash up-front for the first order. These supplements are invariably of low quality. 

All of these products have single-page websites like Neuro 8, and they are always just sold through Amazon. 

Is Neuro 8 one of these supplements?

We’ll find out in due course.

But as always, the words of a manufacturer mean pretty much nothing. We need to see the nuts and bolts to find out if any of this is actually true. 

Let’s take a look at the formula and see if this is just another duplicate, white label, poor quality nootropic stack, or if it is actually able to deliver enhanced cognitive function. Well, it will do if you’ve spent any time looking for nootropics on popular online market places, or indeed if you’ve read a number of our reviews.

What’s going on here?

Why are so many stacks sold on Amazon using exactly the same formula?

The answer is quite simple and, sadly, quite predictable. 

Duplicated Formulas – What’s Going On?

We’re seeing this cropping up more and more often, and we’re pretty certain we know why. 

Somewhere out there, a supplement manufacturer is offering this formula out as a ‘white label’ product. Basically, that means that they are making capsules with this formula and then allowing people to apply their own custom branding to the bottles after they have been made. 

So brands like IAR just have to knock up a bottle label, send it to this manufacturer, and pay for the produce. They can then outsource delivery to Amazon, pay off both ends from the sales, and keep the profit. 

If you have a few thousand dollars to invest up front (perhaps as little as $1,000), this is a really easy, low-risk way to make money. It is also incredibly unethical; you are passing off a cheap, ten-a-penny product as something unique and valuable to ill-informed, desperate customers. 

If you have nothing invested in a product and you are just riding it out, stuffing your pockets for as long as you can before demand drops off, then you probably don’t have your customers best interests at heart. 

That’s why we always call it out when we see it and warn you to sty away from products like this. 

What About The Formula? Does It Work?

Since we’ve basically been over this numerous times already, we will just very briefly run through the major problems with this supplement. 

The choice of cholinergic could be considerably better. DMAE is not as efficient as CDP-Choline or ALpha-GPC, or even Choline Bitartrate for that matter. It is also known to cause side effects in some users, while others find that it doesn’t work at all. 

Bacopa monnieri is a very reliable, extremely effective, long-lasting memory enhancer. Multiple studies have found that this stuff improves memory formation, recall, and reaction speed in the long-term.

However, the 100mg found in IAR Neuro 8 is simply pathetic.

It is the bacosides in Bacopa monnieri that we really care about, as these compounds give bacopa its memory-boosting properties. For a 20% bacoside extract, we would expect to see 3 times this much bacopa monnieri in Neuro 8. 

The best nootropics use a bacopa monnieri which is 45% bacosides. As such, they can get away with using just 150mg per serving. 

The St. John’s Wort content is also an issue. 

Many people claim that St. John’s Wort is a powerful anxiolytic; that is, it reduces feelings of anxiety, stress, depression, and so on.

The only problem is that we’ve never seen any compelling evidence for this. Until we do, we’re going to continue to treat St. John’s Wort as total bunk. 

Finally, the Huperzine A content poses a problem. It is actually too small to deliver any kind of meaningful benefit. Yet its presence means that breaks are necessary. This in turn diminishes the efficacy of Bacopa monnieri.

While customer reviews can only tell us so much, it’s always worth taking a look at what other people are saying about a nootropic supplement before we buy any.

IAR Neuro 8 Review Conclusion

IAR Neuro 8 is just another nootropic using the same, mass-produced, white-label, low quality formula. IAR Nutrition are buying this formula from a manufacturer somewhere and just putting their labels on the bottles afterwards (this probably happens at the wholesaler factory). 

There are so many supplements being sold on Amazon at the minute with identical formulas, bottle shapes, and prices that it’s becoming a serious problem for consumers. Something needs to change. 

The formula itself, as we’ve said in the other reviews listed above, is weak, under-dosed, and contains completely useless ingredients. Huperzine A and Bacopa monnieri do not compliment one another, and St. John’s Wort does nothing. We wont even comment on the pointless 150mg of Glutamine. 

If you’re looking for a reliable, powerful, premium-quality nootropic that’s worth the price tag, look elsewhere.
