Evergreen Review Summary

Evergreen is almost identical in composition to Nootrobox RISE. Both of these stacks contain the same three ingredients, and the doses are almost all the same. There are only two differences between these two supplements: Nootrobox RISE contains 300mg of Alpha-GPC compared to Evergreen’s 150mg, and the extract concentrations used in Evergreen are not given.

As such, we consider Evergreen to be a kind of weakened, amateur version of Nootrobox RISE. Of course, we did explain in the Nootrobox RISE review that the large doses used might prove too much for many users. If that is true in your case, then Evergreen might be ideal for you. Yet without extract strengths, we have to say that the seemingly stronger stack offers more value.

Where To Buy Evergreen

We can’t find an official merchant page for NorthWest Nootropics or for Evergreen. If you can find a way to purchase directly from the manufacturer, that is always preferable to buying through Amazon.

Full Evergreen Review

Evergreen is a nootropic supplement made by NorthWest Nootropics. To our knowledge it has not been on the market for very long, which is why you will not find many Evergreen reviews online at the moment.

However, with the amount of interest NorthWest Nootropics are getting over Evergreen nootropic stack, we don’t think it’ll be long before every professional review website is giving this focus and memory supplement its time in the spotlight.

We can’t find a great deal of information on NorthWest Nootropics, so the majority of the information presented in this review was taken from various Evergreen Amazon merchant pages.

What is Evergreen? What is it designed to do?

As you can probably tell from the bottle labelling, NorthWest Nootropics have designed Evergreen as an all-encompassing, holistic nootropic. Almost every aspect of brain function is listed on the front of the bottle:

  • Memory
  • Stamina
  • Verbal fluency
  • Focus
  • Resilience

This is almost the full spectrum of what a natural nootropic can possibly influence; the only thing missing is mood (although one could argue that this falls under resilience).

Needless to say, this is clearly a very ambitious natural nootropic supplement. Any stack which attempts to address all of these areas of cognitive function at the same time will certainly need to pack a big punch.

If it is successful it will unquestionably be one of the best nootropics on the market today.

So that leaves us with a simple question to answer: does Evergreen work?

Can this nootropic stack improve memory, focus, stamina and verbal fluency all at once?

Is it safe?

Is there anything better out there?

Let’s find out together. Here is our full Evergreen nootropic supplement review. If you have any questions at the end, please just let us know in the comments section. We always get back to our readers as soon as possible.

Evergreen Formula

Before e start discussing the Evergreen formula in great detail, you need to know what we’re talking about. Here is the Evergreen ingredients list, as shown on the bottle:

As far as we can tell, Evergreen nootropic stack is suitable for vegetarians, and it contains no serious allergens. This is always a bonus; we don’t like to see large groups of people disbarred from using a supplement just because the manufacturer wanted to cut a few corners!

The Evergreen formula is incredibly minimalist: it contains just three ingredients.

We love seeing this kind of confidence and simplicity in a formula. Too many manufacturers try to be too clever, filling their supplements with too many exotic-sounding ingredients, and failing to dose any of them properly in the process.

They do this because they know some customers see more ingredients and think that means better results.

We know that such thinking is mistaken.

We would rather see a manufacturer choose a handful of their favorite ingredients and just dose them properly. That is what has happened here.

Here is a breakdown of the ingredients in Evergreen, what they do, and how they are thought to help boost cognitive function:

Bacopa monnieri

This stuff has been shown time and again in robust, well-respected clinical trials to bring about significant improvements in memory function. Just a few months of supplementation have proven enough to improve scores in memory recall tests and reaction time experiments.

It seems to be incredibly safe, with mild side effects only occurring at relatively high doses (above 300mg per day). While Evergreen offers 300mg/day, we think the risk of side effects is still mild at this level.

The substance in bacopa leaf which gives it its nootropic properties are called bacosides. We typically look for an extract with a bacoside content of over 40%. This allows us to use less leaf, meaning a lower side effect risks. At 45% concentrate, we would want to see around 150mg of bacopa.

But we have no idea how strong the bacopa monnieri extract used in Evergreen really is. In fact, we don’t even know if it is an extract; it could just be whole leaf, meaning we’re getting few bacosides per serving.

To learn more about the potential of bacopa monnieri as a nootropic, how it works, and so on, check out our comprehensive guide on the ingredient.

Rhodiola Rosea

This herb is used by many people as a potent anxiolytic. This means it helps reduce stress, anxiety, and some of the more mild symptoms of depression.

Several studies have proven that rhodiola is effective in human beings. Some studies have found that it improved performance in work-related tasks by up to 20%. Numbers like this can be misleading, but you get the idea.

Rhodiola’s biggest benefit seems to be its ability to support cognitive function during times of acute stress. One of the main ways it seems to do this is by eliminating subjective feelings of fatigue. If you have serious deadlines approaching, or final exams coming up, then rhodiola rosea can be of great assistance.

It is also incredibly safe and well-tolerated by most people.

Once again, it would be nice to know what concentration we’re dealing with here.

The main active ingredients in rhodiola rosea are called rosavins and salidroside.

Generally speaking, when we’re talking about supplementing with rhodiola rosea extract, we mean using an extract that has 3% rosavins and 1% salidroside.

If that is what we are dealing with here, then 300mg is absolutely perfect. But again, we would rather know for certain.

Alpha-GPC

Without a shadow of a doubt, this stuff is one of the best natural focus boosters and learning enhancers on the planet. Its potency is matched only by CDP-Choline in our opinion.

Alpha-GPC confers choline to the brain, which in turn raises acetylcholine availability. Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter, sometimes referred to as the ‘learning neurotransmitter’.

Supplementing with Alpha-GPC is an incredibly reliable and effective way to increase focus, concentration levels, and your ability to learn quickly. It is relatively safe, and side effects are rare.

To make things even better, it has some pretty impressive peripheral benefits. To learn more about these, check out our article on Alpha-GPC and CDP-Choline; the two best cholinergics on the market right now.

We think that 150mg is very reasonable for Alpha-GPC. While other high quality, market-leading nootropics contain much more cholinergic than this (Mind Lab Pro contains 250mg of CDP-Choline), the 150mg in Evergreen is certainly going to contribute to better cognitive functioning.

Could This Stack Be Better? Yes.

We were pleasantly surprised here. When we started this Evergreen review we didn’t expect to find such a simple, straightforward, confident stack.

There are no fillers here, no waste ingredients, and no over-hyped garbage taking up valuable space.

There’s just proven, reliable, effective nootropics at sensible dosages.

What’s more, the three main areas of cognitive function are addressed: memory, focus, and stress-reduction. While the symptoms of stress are not necessarily dealt with entirely by rhodiola rosea, we do know that it helps keep you on track while you’re stressed, which is the most important thing.

That said, we don’t think these ingredients can do all of the things that a genuinely holistic, all-encompassing stack can.

This formula is indeed good, but we need to say that it could be much better.

There’s no serious long-term adaptation support (Lion’s Mane or Phosphatidylserine), there’s no anti-oxidants (such as resveratrol), and there’s no theanine.

If the manufacturers added in these substances in decent quantities, or perhaps raised the Alpha-GPC content slightly, we would have a genuinely phenomenal stack on our hands.

As it stands, Evergreen looks to be a very good nootropic supplement. Effective, safe and reliable.

However, their formula is very similar to a well-established product. One must wonder how much inspiration they took from Nootrobox.

Similarity To Nootrobox RISE

The similarities between NorthWest Nootropics Evergreen and Nootrobox RISE are striking. We do not need to labor over them here; we just need to show you.

Here is a comparison of their two formulae:

As you can see, the only differences are that Nootrobox RISE provides more Alpha-GPC per serving, and it lists the concentrations of the extracts used.

While there are issues with this Nootrobox product, we do like it very much.

We certainly prefer the fact that we know how strong the extracts are.

We aren’t even sure if Evergreen has standardized its bacopa monnieri content at all, or whether it contains just crushed leaves with very little in the way of bacosides in there.

And while 300mg of Alpha-GPC might prove a little too much for some people, it is preferable to 150mg in terms of value for money.

This is a very safe substance, and side effects are usually very mild if they occur at all. The only real problem with taking 300mg per day is that the benefits begin to taper off above 250mg, so you are exposed to a greater risk of side effects for no reason.

Still, in a direct comparison of the two, we have to give it to Nootrobox RISE.

That’s not to mention the fact that RISE was on the market long before Evergreen. Did NorthWest Nootropics get some inspiration here? Perhaps, but that’s not for us to guess.

Evergreen Review Conclusion

There’s a lot about this stack hat we like.

With just three ingredients to play with, you really have to be picky when constructing a stack that claims to be so widely effective.

Clearly, NorthWest Nootropics were very picky. The Evergreen formula only contains proven, effective, safe, and reliable natural nootropic substances. Taking this stack regularly should support focus, performance under stress, and memory function.

However, this stack could also be considerably better.

While we praise their confidence and simplicity, we think a few more ingredients would turn this good stack into a great stack.

We would also prefer to see the extract concentrations, as displayed by Nootrobox RISE (which has almost the exact same formula).

We have no idea if NorthWest Nootropics saw Nootrobox RISE and decided to copy, or if they arrived at this formula independently. Since all of these ingredients are so good, it’s perfectly reasonable that they got here on their own.

What is clear is that this stack doesn’t go as far as other stacks available today for a similar price.

If you are looking for a premium nootropic stack, then there is better value to be had. There’s no reason to avoid this stack, but check out our top rated supplements before buying.
