Biotality Neuro Fuel Review Summary

We’re sorry to say that this nootropic is a total scam! This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the formula used by Biotality Neuro Fuel. Not even close. This exact same formula is used by dozens – that’s DOZENS – of other brain supplements. Biotality have obviously arranged for the same wholesaler to produce their product as all the other manufacturers shilling this stuff on Amazon. They’ve had no involvement in making the formula; they just get the real manufacturer to apply their labels as the bottles roll off the production line before they get delivered to an Amazon warehouse. You can learn more about ‘The Amazon Method’ from this article.

As for the formula itself, there’s really not much to be optimistic about. The main ingredient – St. John’s Wort – is known for its anti-depressant properties rather than its ability to promote calm focus. Worse still, the evidence supporting its use as an anti-depressant is inconsistent and thin. Glutamine does nothing. Carnitine does nothing worth mentioning. All in all, a pretty awful cognitive enhancer! Don’t waste your money.

Where To Buy Neuro Fuel

Biotality are clearly just having private label products shipped straight to an Amazon warehouse, so they probably sell exclusively through them.

Detailed Neuro Fuel Review

Neuro Fuel has come out of nowhere and it currently one of the most talked about brain supplements on the market. The manufacturer, Biotality, have a bunch of products to their name already. Their focus is clearly on general health and wellness; there’s a fish oil supplement, a sleep aid, and a stress reliever.

We can’t find an independent website. It looks like this brand might exist solely on Amazon – this isn’t uncommon, but to us it’s not a great sign. Most of the brands that only have a presence on Amazon are scams. However, we aren’t going to just write these guys off for not having a website of their own. We’re going to do a thorough review like we do for everyone else!

So, what is Biotality Neuro Fuel supposed to do?

Why should anybody care about this new brain supplement?

Biotality Neuro Fuel bottle

From the bottle and the packaging we can tell that this is supposed to be a total nootropic. We’re told that this stack “fuels your mental performance”, and the bottle sports the classic “memory and clarity” duo that all cognitive enhancers do.

This is obviously meant to be a comprehensive, daily nootropic, designed to enhance multiple aspects of mental performance at once. That’s perfect for us. We think you need to take a holistic approach to brain supplementation if you want the best results.

Indeed, the advertising materials associated with Neuro Fuel product tell us that this is a full spectrum stack:

Manufacturer claims

Neuro Fuel ad

We need to issue a word of caution here. As we explained at great length in this article, it isn’t actually possible to enhance your creativity through supplementation. You can improve mental clarity and facilitate fluid thought, but no pill or potion can make you the next Picasso. Sorry, but it can’t.

But some supplements can help you utilize your creative impulses better by enhancing focus, keeping you concentrated, and fostering fluid thinking. Nootropics can help you bring out your creativity through better verbal fluency and more mental stamina.

This sounds like a really interesting supplement, all in all.

But how much of this is even true? After all, we’ve heard it all before. Every manufacturer we’ve ever dealt with has claimed their product can do amazing things. The majority are hardly any better than sugar pills!

So where does this cognitive enhancer stand?

Does Biotality Neuro Fuel really work?

Will it cause side effects? Is it safe for long-term use?

How does it compare to other products of a similar price? Is it worth a try? It is right for you?

To find out, check out our detailed product review below. We start off with a sober examination of the formula. We use the latest scientific findings to tell us which ingredients work, and which don’t. We’ll talk about the doses used, the value for money you’re getting, and the side effect risks. Please post any questions in the comments section at the end and we’ll get right back to you.

Neuro Fuel Formula

Take a look at the Neuro Fuel formula, as it’s displayed on the bottle:

Ingredients list

Oh no, not again! We’re sick of seeing these blatant rip-off supplements on Amazon!

Believe it or not, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen this formula.

We haven’t accidentally reviewed the same product twice; we’ve just seen this exact same formula used before by other nootropics. Lots of other nootropics, actually.

There are dozens and dozens of cognitive enhancers for sale on Amazon that all have this exact same formula. Then there are countless more with slight variations on it – a few extra milligrams here, a swapped ingredient there.

God only knows how many supplements using this formula have already disappeared.

Confused?

We’ll explain what we’re talking about in more detail below. But for now, all you need to know is that this is a cheap, generic formula disguised as a new, premium brain supplement. It’s a scam designed to make some kids a fast buck.

Don’t fall for it!

Private Label Scams – The Amazon Method In Action

Before we explain what’s going on behind the scenes – that is, why so many of these identical formulas are being sold on Amazon under different names – it’s worth showing you some examples.

It doesn’t take long to see what we’re talking about.

Here is the Organix Labs FOCUS Power formula:

Duplicate formulas

And here is the Alpha Tech Labs Peak Focus formula:

Identical formulas - white label scams!

See what we’re getting at here?

We’re not saying that Neuro Fuel has a similar formula to these other supplements.

We’re not criticizing it for ‘ripping off’ other cognitive enhancers. It’s inevitable that there will be some overlap between formulas – there are lots of natural focus and memory boosters out there, but there isn’t an infinite number. Repetition is inevitable, even desirable – we want to best ingredients possible after all!

That’s not the issue.

The issue is that these products are all using the exact same formula.

Even the labels are the same – they have the same layout, the same font, the same names for the substances; everything is the same!

There’s no reason why these guys would all copy each other’s labels, let alone each other’s formulas (not like it’s an amazing formula or anything). So it’s clear to us, as it probably is to you, that they’re all getting their products from the same place.

What’s obviously happening is these “brands” are all purchasing a ready-made formula ‘off-the-rack’ from a wholesaler and then applying their custom front panels to the labels.

This is called ‘white label’ or ‘private label’ selling. It’s been around for a long time, but the rise of Amazon has made it more popular than ever. It’s making a lot of lazy people incredibly rich, and it’s flooding Amazon with cheap, generic products.

Here’s how the scam works.

Amazon Method in action

Step 1: Find a wholesaler with a nootropic formula already made-up and ready to go. Purchase an order (usually 500 bottle minimum).

Step 2: Create a brand name, a label, and an Amazon store. Send a PDF of your label to the wholesaler.

Step 3: Set up fulfilled by Amazon. Have the wholesaler ship your order to an Amazon warehouse.

Step 4: Set up Amazon ads, Google ads, etc.

Step 5: Have the order automatically re-filled once your stock in the Amazon warehouse falls to 0. Sit back and count the money!

Step 6 (Optional): If the sales fall to 0 because of bad reviews, just make a new brand name and a new label. Rinse and repeat.

Obviously, this is a very attractive prospect to a young kid with £10,000 of cash saved up and an aversion to hard work. It can make them a lot of money in very little time. The same goes for the wholesaler; they don’t want to have to market their product, so a steady stream of orders is great for them!

The only person who loses is you.

You end up with a bottle of generic junk the wholesaler couldn’t sell to a proper manufacturer, and a big hole in your pocket for your troubles!

Think about it – would a wholesaler put their best ingredients in a blend they sold for pennies to everyone how sent them an email and $5,000? Doubtful.

What About The Formula Itself?

At this point, some of you might be thinking: so what if it’s a generic, off-the-shelf formula? So long as it works, I don’t care!

Well, we’re sorry to say that the formula is pretty terrible in and of itself. Even if it wasn’t such a blatant scam, we’d still take a pass.

There’s a few reasons for this.

The main ingredient – St. John’s Wort – is a dud in our opinion. It is primarily used as a natural anti-depressant. That isn’t the same thing as promoting calm focus and relaxed concentration. That’s why proper nootropics use Tyrosine, Rhodiola rosea and Ashwagandha.

The evidence behind St. John’s Wort is unconvincing. For example, this paper is pretty clear in its findings: “Overall, we found that patients taking either St. John’s wort or placebo had similar rates of response according to scales commonly used for measuring depression.”

So not only is it not really a nootropic anyway, but it doesn’t even seem to be effective for treating depression, which is why so many people rave about it in the first place!

There’s a lot of dead weight in Biotality Neuro Fuel.

St. John's Wort ineffective nootropic

Each serving gives us 150mg of Glutamine. What purpose this is supposed to serve is beyond us. Glutamine is a very common amino acid. It is highly prevalent in the human diet; we guarantee that you eat copious amounts of glutamine each and every day, assuming you eat things like bread, pasta, chicken and cheese.

Some people do supplement with glutamine for the purposes of aiding muscle recovery. When they do, they consume about 5g 2-3 times daily, or 15g a day total.

The body isn’t even going to notice 150mg. But even if it did, it wouldn’t do you much good. Glutamine does not have any nootropic properties whatsoever. It isn’t even a major building block of brain cells, so you can’t make the argument that it supports proper brain function over time.

That’s already 400mg of substances you’re paying for without getting anything back in return.

In our opinion, that’s a complete waste of money and a poor formula overall.

Side Effects – Is Neuro Fuel Safe?

There isn’t a lot in this formula which gives us great cause for concern as far as side effects go. The ingredients used in Neuro Fuel are all widely used in natural supplements today. Every one of them has been tested for use by humans, and they have all been found to be generally safe (so long as you’re sensible, you don’t have pre-existing conditions that make them dangerous, and you follow the instructions carefully).

However, we do see at least one ingredient we think you need to be careful with, and that’s Huperzine A.

Huperzine A is a great nootropic, but it is not one you can use for a prolonged period of time. That’s because Huperzine A effectively ‘switches off’ your brain’s ability to regulate acetylcholine levels. It inhibits the formation of the enzyme which gets rid of this amazing neurotransmitter.

In the short-term, elevated acetylcholine is good. But leave your brain’s ‘safety lever’ off for too long, and excessive build-ups will cause problems.

That’s why you need to cycle Huperzine A regularly. There’s no exact cycle length to follow; it depends on person and dose. But we recommend taking a week off at least every 3-4 weeks. After 3 cycles, take a long period off and see how you go from there.

Common side effects of either using too much Huperzine A or failing to cycle it properly include:

  • Headaches
  • Muscle cramps
  • Loss of focus
  • Confusion
  • Loss of motivation
  • Low mood
  • Insomnia

If you fail to cycle Huperzine A properly, you will experience some side effects. That’s why we like to leave it out of stacks altogether (unless they’re pre-workouts or something that only gets used a few times per week).

Caution!

Your own unique medical history is very relevant to whether or not this stack is safe for you. This overview is not exhaustive and it is very general. All we can talk about are the most obvious dangers for the average user.

This is not medical advice.

We are not doctors.

To keep yourself absolutely safe you need to do your own research thoroughly and talk to a qualified medical doctor who knows your medical history!
